While like any investment there is the expectation of a return, the real hope is to help launch these golfers on a long and successful pro career. For that reason, the player keeps most of any revenue earned on a sliding scale.
Percentage of revenue share to backers is:

25%, on the Korn Ferry Tour;

30%, on PGA TOUR Americas;
