How exactly does the Performance-Based distribution work?

In simple terms, the better Hitters’ teams perform in tournaments, the more rank and points are allocated to have a larger piece of the Performance-Based Distribution share. Success should drive rewards, and that’s what this portion is designed to do. This is similar to how professional players receive bonuses for winning league awards and team members receive bonuses for winning a championship.

In very detailed terms:

The allocation and distribution of thirty-five percent (35%) of the Sharing Pool will reflect the relative success and achievements of each Team throughout the season. As the tournament offerings expand each season, Teams will calculate their total purse earnings based on performance, and the Teams will be ranked and paid such portions of the Sharing Pool accordingly.

Ranking System:

  • For each season, the Grass League will establish a ranking system to determine each Team’s relative allocation of the Performance-Based Distribution Share.

  • The Grass League’s ranking determination can be made using a combination of factors such as win-loss record, playoff standings, championships won, and/or other relevant metrics.

  • The Grass League may allocate the Performance-Based Distribution Share to a limited number of eligible teams (e.g., the top 10 performing Teams).

Points Allocation:

  • The Grass League will assign a specific number of points to each Team based on their ranking within the established system. The higher a Team’s rank, the more points that Team will receive.

  • Prior to the start of a season, the Grass League shall make available the points allocation system to each Team.

Performance-Based Revenue Share Calculation:

  • The Grass League will calculate each Team’s allocation of the Performance-Based Distribution Share based on their allocated points. The higher a Team’s rank and points, the larger that Team’s allocation of the Performance-Based Distribution Share.
